Hello, ladies and gents! It is definitely about time for a due update.
we are very sorry for the long absence. we have undergone quite a number of changes over the past few months, and went full circle to right back where we came from. we have a few changes in our band lineup now, and it reads as follows; Brendan on drums, Bong on bass, Irwin on guitar, Martin on keyboard and Yanle on vocals.

Our band was floating around aimlessly, because of the departure of our previous bassist, Gary. This 'aimless floating around' came to a halt when we found ourselves a new vocalist and we mixed each other around, and hey presto, you have the new SOD. We have refined our sound now, and are right back where we started, back to good ol pop punk, with a twist of everything else. (a bit like pepsi twist.)

We will be making a 'comeback' (so called) on the 11th of December at the Audiorojak gig featuring bands such as Caracal, Trella, The Arrant End and MAAAANY more. do come down and support us and our friends! more info will be posted up closer to the date!

Hello all! SOD would really love to thank everybody who came down to watch our first third place gig yesterday for just being there with your friends, having and good time and paying us your kind applause. Thanks so much guys and girls, cause its you guys that made the gig happen. Thank you!

Yesterday was such a blast. So we finally played at third place for our first time. The crowd was not that fantastic, and it needn't have been. What mattered was that our friends that we all love so much were there, and that was enough. Thanks for making it so much fun guys!

Righto, so we actually played adventure books again.
After hearing all you guys when we played that old song, we decided, no we're not gonna scrap it. Adventure Books is here to stay. Long live punk rock. Stay true to your roots, people!

Third Place Gig

Hello! alright, we've got the final details of our third place gig next friday.. its on the 26th and the gig will start at 7pm with us first! yup we are the first band up, so do come early! This is our first third place gig, so we dont expect the turnout to be good lol we're like quite unknown anyway, but do come down ok! haha.. alright i've put up a map above this....
for you guys who dont know how to get there. you just take the train to outram mrt station and walk. its not a long walk at all.

we still have no idea who else is playing on the 26th, but yeah just come down ok and support all of them! the local scene needs more variety, and supporters as well!

Alright, so see you guys at the third place at 7pm next friday! ciow!

Greetings! we'd just like to remind you all about our upcoming gig at The Third Place will be on the 26th of May, but we have no idea what time were playing. the gig starts at 7.30 as usual, so it'll be nice if you just came at that time. right now though, the other bands playing are not confirmed, so like we dont know who were playing with. haha.... so its best that you just come and watch all the bands. yup. we'll update when we get fully informed about who else were playing with. We'll do a final update on the gig like, two weeks from now or something. closer to the date. Call all your friends ok? and then check back here for more details. If you dont know how to get to third place, in the next post, we'll put up a map to the place. yup.

Anyway, we just got informed that we got added in http://localmusichere.blogspot.com., which means that the site where many of the local bands are listed has been updated with our link. check there and see our band under 's'! ooh!

We've also had an invitation to be part of this organization called hardrocksingapore, which organizes large public gigs and stuff. www.heartrocksingapore.com for more. Our involvement in this is still pending so we shall wait and see. hope along with us!

the eighteenth of april

Hi guys, its been a while since we updated. The site has gone through some 'renovation' and it kind of looks neater now, with less stuff on it, making it far simpler and nicer.
Alright, so here's whats up for us for the months of April and May. We've been working on our new original entitled Prologue and its nearly done. It'll be ready by our gig in May.
Yup, we're having a gig in May. Finally, after waiting for so long, we finally got a slot for the third place gig on 26th of May 2006 which is a friday of course. We're really excited about it. Do come down and watch us if you can, cause its our first time that we're playing there!

Okay so we've got our bio re-written so its shorter but more power packed. hahah.. just check out the rest of our fully updated site which will be updated with new graphics and whatever regularly from now on. Sorry for this site being so dead and everything, we're really busy this year as four of us are heavily involved in church activities and two of us are taking our o levels this year. Yup.

Alright, so I guess we'll see you at third place on the 26th of may! another update will be posted closer to that date to remind you all, yeah? It's a long time more but, its gonna be short, the mid year exams are coming! Study hard, alright? okay see yall!

Hi party people, welcome to February. We have arrived in this month running at full speed, crash landing at a landmark called 'adventure' and are fueled with a burning desire to make excellent music for the pe-la-sure of your little eardrums. We are pleased to welcome our new lead singer Martin Christopher Pillay who will be singing his heart out for the love of music. This would definately take our band to a new level cause we've gone five piece. The updates will be up shortly. Applause please. yup, thank you thank you!
Furthermore, we have decided to put the great divine healer, power above all powers and king above all kings, the great Lord GOD Almighty in our lyrics as our way of putting the word of God into our daily lives. In other words, our band has officially gone 'christian', if you may call it. We'd just like to thank God for blessing us with all this, the chance to bring him to others through our lyrics, hopefully. Thank you for all your support guys, cause ever since we've sort of gone through the 'change of genre' and all, yall have certainly been encouraging us a lot and we thank you for that. Amen to that.

January 2006 update

Whats up, people. Here's an update of what we've sort of been doing and what we will be doing for the rest of the month. It's been pretty exciting going into the new year and all with new goals and targets and stuff. But most importantly its so good to know that here in SOD we have approached the new year, alive and kicking but more than ever before. Music has taken the four of us to new adventures and experiences and its amazing how much we've grown with our music. In a nutshell, we've basically pretty much sort of 'grown out' of pop punk music just like the rest of you people out there and we are dabbling in the genres of emo and stuff. But we're so not going anywhere near 'emocore' or 'screamo', no none of that cause whatever it is, we're still going to stick to our pop punk roots like we pledged to all those years ago. actually it was only one year ago but who the hell cares? yup. oh yes and we are pleased to inform you that we are most likely getting a gig at the third place sometime in febuary so do check this sad site more often to get updated, alright? we'll also probably be releasing two more originals in time to come... once we get them done, finalised and recorded. And we are most probably changing the title of Adventure Books too. Yup I guess thats all. Cheers, people.

hey people. we've got a new banner, so i posted it up. actually we have quite a few. this is just one of them. we're trying to make them into stickers and hopefully when we get it done, you guys can slap it around everywhere proclaiming our band. hallelujah.

oh yes. the site is going through a slight makeover.... just like the band itself. cause were doing um, like, emo in our own pop punk kinda way cause we're tired of jumping around to blink 182 and sum 41 all day like we did last year, so like, um, dont mind this place being a little messy at the moment, i mean the links and all may not work from time to time cause im a lazy asshole and i have way too many things to do asides from this stupid site so yup. when its all like, settled, um, you guys will notice it lah i think. just do us a favour and be patient please.

Priss's Party Gig

Hello everyone. Tomorrow, 10th of December is Priss's party. All the girls are gonna be there. It'll be rad. SLOF and us are playing. we've got crappy equiptment. but never you mind. it's all for good fun. The party will be held at her house which is at 23 jalan hajijah upper east coast road. will start at around 7.30 so be there early. I appeal to all of you people not to laugh at us. Gig update

Hello peeps. This post is to inform all you boys and girls and toys and pearls out there that our 'PRISS PARTY GIG' ON THE 9th OF DEC HAS BEEN CHANGED TO THE 10th of Dec, SATURDAY, cause theres an awesome gig on the 9th called ON COMMON GROUND, which we will probably be going for I guess. Maybe Gary cant make it. As usual. But anyway, this gig is on the 9th, 3rd place, 6.30pm, costs 2 bucks, and great pro bands like sky in euphoria, a vacant affair, fourth avenue, my precious, set for glory, and munchies at 9 are playing. be there or be square. nickelodeon.

so our party gig has been changed to the 10th so you can catch both gigs. enjoy, people. we love you all. byebye. pray for us. amen.

Demo and EP

We are targeting to release our EP by about July 2006. It should be around a 5-6 track EP and we are not sure of the cost as yet. Right about now, were still discussing the name of the EP, we're considering either
Public enemy number two (or)
Where Further learning Never Ceases

We're also glad to announce that we will be recording our latest and final version of our first single, Adventure Books at Soundmix Productions sometime in early December, and if timing favours our agenda, our final demo of that song will be out before Priss's party on the 9th. If opportunity gives, we'll maybe even give out 15 free copies of our Adventure Books Demo on the day of the party. Sounds rad, doesnt it? heh. Lets hope for the best.
